Cook for Culinary Day at that Tourism Summit!

We invite you to showcase your skills as one of our premiere chefs around the Olympic Peninsula, to participate in “Tastes from Around the Olympic Peninsula.” This is a “progressive dinner” on Thursday, October 27th, from 5-7:30 pm at Fort Worden in the Officer’s Row Houses. Each participating chef will offer a hearty signature appetizer or two, using local ingredients and pairing them with a locally produced beverage of your choice, i.e. wine, cider, beer, spirits, etc. summit logo

Guests are tourism professionals from around the region. They will be divided evenly between the houses and then rotate through all of them. We anticipate around 50-60 people, but will confirm the number a week before the event. Guests will rotate to the next house every 20 minutes. Serving will be casual and reception-style

The evening will culminate in Fort Worden’s Chapel around 7 pm, with dessert provided by the Fort Worden chefs. We encourage you to come and participate!

The Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission will provide each chef with a $200 stipend to cover food costs, beverage pairings, etc. In addition, the house is available for you and your partner, or your staff to stay that night at no charge. The houses are 4-6 bedrooms with shared baths. We have a list of some producers who are offering their product(s) for this event, such as Hama Hama Oysters and Alpenfire Cider. Contact us for additional pairing possibilities.

We have a maximum of five chefs that can participate, so reservations are on a first come, first served basis. Let us know soon!
